It just doesn't. Regardless of the reality of your statements, this fanbase will not wait three years to see an improved signing day and another three to see those gains in the field. Relationships may be the long game but the short game needs work too.

No damn way a football player needs to be coddled for years in order to be persuaded on a college choice. Those relationships help build a perception of the program, but it won't matter if we are bottom of ACC while chatting it up with high school coaches. Bottom line, this is why rebuilds are hard.
